About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Broadcast Journalism to work across journalism programmes at BA level.

This role involves contributing to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development, and scholarship within the School in Broadcast Journalism.


Our accredited programmes include BA (Hons) Journalism (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and BA (Hons) Sports Journalism (Broadcast Journalism Training Council), which are housed within our School of Arts and Media.

About you:

We are recruiting for a Lecturer in Broadcast Journalism who has a passion for broadcast news. The successful applicant must have recent experience working as a multiplatform broadcast journalist and in producing content for digital platforms. You must have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

For this role an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent are essential requirements.
