Learning Mentor / SEMH Support – 1 Day per Week
Location: N11 | Start Date: September 2025 | Pay Scale: TBC
We are looking to appoint a compassionate and experienced Learning Mentor to support the social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs of our pupils for one day per week starting this September.
This role involves:
- Providing one-to-one support for children identified as needing SEMH intervention
- Leading small group sessions, particularly where friendship issues have been identified
- Building positive relationships with pupils to support their emotional wellbeing
- Liaising with parents to obtain consent and provide updates, maintaining clear and professional communication
- Working closely with staff to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach to pupil support

- Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
- A proactive, child-centred approach and commitment to safeguarding
