We’ll provide an environment of caring and belonging where you can be yourself. An inclusive, innovative culture that invests in you, gives you access to an incredible breadth and depth of opportunities where you can grow your career and make a difference.

What we offer:

We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing:

  • You will work as a Planning Specialist to define planning standards, scheduling governance, and assurance, implement the APly planning process and maintain Primavera P6 for the Submarines Business.
  • You will interface with the Programme Teams to provide guidance support and monitoring throughout the programme lifecycle, facilitating the teams in providing accurate and timely management information.
  • You will support Planning Specialist and Planner Forums, to improve planning and scheduling processes.
  • You will be involved in delivering Read/Write Primavera P6 training, coaching and mentoring planners from across the business.
  • You will co-ordinate all change control activities. This will involve providing and defining training, guidance, governance, and assurance as well as implementing changes to the contract schedules and artefacts.

Who we are looking for:

At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. These principles form the behaviours that guide us and are an essential component of our assessment process. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles. The skills and qualifications we seek are:

  • Minimum 3 years project controls / planning experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is a mandatory requirement for this role and candidates that are unable to demonstrate this skillset will not be considered.
  • Project Planning and Controls (PPC), or the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) desirable.
  • Demonstratable experience within a similar position/entry level qualification (HNC or Foundation Degree) desirable.
  • Experience of developing schedules within a complex environment ideally from a Nuclear or Engineering sector.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives which are crucial to innovation and problem solving. We believe the more diverse perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of caring and belonging, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.
