Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position is essential for ensuring that all laundry items meet the high standards expected.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently, following proper procedures for different fabric types.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with the packaging and storage of clean linens.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests promptly and courteously.
- Take payments.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning techniques is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
