A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a catastrophic Injury claims handler with experience of independently handling motor claims in excess of £250,000 to join our team here at Somerset Bridge. We are a highly experienced and well-respected large loss team with a strong focus on developing our staff.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Proactively managing your own portfolio of motor personal injury cases in excess of £250,000 from first notification onwards to achieve an optimum settlement.
- Providing coaching, mentoring and training and acting as a referral point and mentor within Somerset Bridge.
- Carrying out project work and keeping up to date with market trends and caselaw.
What you'll need:
- Detailed knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, The Rehabilitation Code and the litigation process.
- Ability to manage relationships with internal and external suppliers.
- A strong understanding of indemnity and liability knowledge.
- Be able to attend case conferences, trials and joint settlement meetings across the UK when required
- Awareness of reinsurance procedures.
- Effective communicator/negotiator.
- Team Player.
- Ability to manage change.
- Integrity to follow compliance and legal issues within the motor insurance industry.
- Attention to detail compulsory.
- Ability to resolve complex claims by applying the appropriate expertise/good tactical awareness.
- Proven ability to coach and develop claims staff.
