Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring that gardens and grounds are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools for landscape maintenance, including but not limited to lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Assist in the building and maintaining of gardens, ensuring proper planting techniques and care for plants.
- Dig, irrigate, and prepare soil for planting, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.
- Perform groundskeeping duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding flower beds.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing basic mechanical checks to ensure functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete landscaping projects efficiently and effectively.
- Follow safety protocols while working with tools and machinery to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to landscaping tasks.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist in the upkeep of equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality results in landscaping projects.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to landscaping practices.
