* Manual Handling: Physically loading and unloading various types of waste, including heavy and bulky items, from the vehicle. * Teamwork: Working closely with the driver to ensure efficient and safe rubbish collections. * Customer Interaction: Communicating politely and professionally with customers at their properties. * Navigation: Assisting the driver with route planning and finding collection addresses. * Health and Safety: Adhering to all safety procedures, including the use of PPE, to prevent injuries. * Waste Sorting: Helping to sort different types of waste for proper disposal or recycling. * Vehicle Checks: Assisting with daily vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues. * Documentation: Completing essential paperwork, such as waste transfer notes, accurately. * Physical Fitness: Maintaining a high level of physical fitness to handle the strenuous and demanding nature of the job. * Flexibility: Being prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions and, in some cases, on weekends or bank holidays.
