As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that work sites are safe, organised, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Perform general site maintenance and cleanliness to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and assist skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Participate in the setup and dismantling of temporary structures as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites is beneficial.
