Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality, portion, and presentation standards.
- Work with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with stock control, including checking deliveries, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Contribute to menu development and suggest new ideas when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook or Kitchen Assistant (pub/restaurant experience preferred).
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team and alone.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working in a pub kitchen

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
