We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee our culinary team and ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking activities meet quality standards.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise when required.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and effective communication among staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
