Baity, a Palestinian restaurant, opened it's doors in 2018 in Manchester and has since grown to 3 cities in the UK. Our London site will be part of the Tower Bridge Collective, a foodhall by Blend, alongside 12 other kitchens. Located at the steps of Tower Bridge, the location is perfect for tourists that visit as well as office workers from the surrounding areas.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food preparation and cooking. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of quality in food production. The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating kitchen activities, and fostering a positive work environment. Communication will be with staff onsite as well as our Head Office in Manchester and other Baity branches.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking techniques
- Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food production as needed, demonstrating culinary skills in cooking and presentation
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or food establishment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts
- Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
- A good understanding of Levantine cuisine and flavours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes
