We are seeking a reliable, hard-working and friendly Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen, while also assisting with running food for the front of house, ensuring a smooth and timely service for our guests. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who enjoys both back-of-house and front-of-house tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clear and clean cafe - clearing dishes; sweeping up any debris; ensuring furniture is all tidy etc.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
- Disposing of trash and recyclables properly
- Taking food to tables, with a knowledge of the menu products thus able to answer any customer questions
- Making customers feel welcomed and valued, helping with any queries or issues
- Collaborating with team members and help wherever needed to achieve store goals
- Following all health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- A genuine care for creating awesome customer experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
