Summary
We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team at Duke of Oxford. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and Back of House operations, contributing to the overall experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all kitchen areas are clean and organised.
- Ensure the Back of house areas (cellars and back courtyards) are clean and tidy.
- Checking in and putting away deliveries.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Support chefs with basic cooking tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and equipment.
- Help with stock rotation and storage of food items.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene practices.
