Overview
The Finsbury is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team! As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and equipped for food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks.
- Help organise and store food items and supplies efficiently.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- A keen interest in food preparation and culinary arts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks quickly.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
