Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Support cooking staff during service by providing assistance as needed.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, ensuring all items are ready for use by chefs.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is advantageous.
- Basic culinary skills including food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
