Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is a FULL TIME AND PERMANENT JOB AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS AS A SUMMER ROLE!
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. They will be hardworking and flexible, able to work a mixture of weekdays, evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Support chefs and cooks during service by providing necessary ingredients and tools.
- Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills within the hospitality industry.

Pay: £11.44-£12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
