We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and meal service run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and meal assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Support chefs and cooks in various tasks, including food preparation and catering services.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment during events or service periods.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy restaurant or catering setting.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.21-£12.30 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
