Job description
This is a position in the kitchen reporting to the Head Chef and sous chefs. As kitchen assistant you will be strongly involved in the maintenance and hygiene of the kitchen. You will be required to be involved in basic food preparation. Experience is not necessary.
The main responsibility for this role is to keep the kitchen clean by completing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
You will attend regular training with your team, embracing new ideas and working together to achieve consistently high standards. The Head Chef, Sous chef will be on hand to help you develop your skills and knowledge. You will also help the head chef and sous chefs in managing the hygiene of the kitchen.
This is a development role which can allow anyone the opportunity to learn new skills and develop through the kitchen team at Flourish. Formal training is not essential although, some knowledge is useful.
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for washing up and kitchen cleanliness
· Responsible for carrying out weekly cleaning jobs
· Take direction from the Head Chef and Sous chef
· Follow health and hygiene regulations laid out by EHO and the Head Chef
· Be able to help with prep jobs
· Support the team
This role is part time.
Usually 9am-5pm with the occasional evening shift for events. Please ensure you can travel to Norton St Phillip before you apply.
