JOB DESCRIPTION
KITCHEN ASSISTANT
We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Kitchen Assistant to join our fast-paced kitchen team at The Pavilion. We're looking for someone with a "can-do" attitude, a team player, and a keen eye for detail.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
Food Preparation:
Being fully responsible for daily food preparation, with a strong focus on salad and vegetable prep, and assisting with food service.
Cleanliness & Hygiene:
Maintaining outstanding cleanliness and presentation standards in the preparation area by following cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations, cleaning sections and other areas as directed, and completing daily clear downs. You will also ensure a clean and organised workstation, and completing the weekly cleaning rota.
Health & Safety:
Maintaining a clean environment in compliance with all Health and Hygiene regulations, undertaking relevant Health and Safety training (including COSHH, Allergen, and Food Safety Level 2 if required), and completing all relevant paperwork such as wastage records at the end of service.
Team Collaboration:
Supporting all members of the kitchen team and working closely with the entire team to ensure seamless and effective service.
General Duties:
Keeping up-to-date with product and service information, sharing relevant information with team members, undertaking other duties as reasonably expected, following all company policies and procedures, and undertaking available training and development as deemed necessary.
Please note that due to our rural location, access to your own or reliable transport is essential.
The role also requires availability to work weekends and Bank Holidays as needed, and the ability to follow company policies and procedures.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.45 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
