…is a stunning private rural estate, visitor destination and working farm. Located on the outskirts of Bridport, one mile from the Jurassic Coast. It provides holiday accommodation, a wedding venue, Symondsbury Kitchen, in-house shops, estate-grown food and plants and independent retail outlets. Symondsbury Estate is set on 1500 acres of farmland and ancient woodlands with stunning views, which visitors can walk, cycle and enjoy. It’s a small, vibrant community with big ambitions.
Symondsbury Kitchen – Kitchen Porter
We grow our own salad, herbs and vegetables as well as offer customers our home-reared rare breed lamb and pork. We are passionate about producing the best ingredients for our small, but seasonal menus.
The ideal person would be full of positive energy, looking to progress in their career and is willing to help develop and expand our thriving business within Symondsbury Kitchen, weddings and events. You would be working as part of a dynamic team to help keep the kitchen running to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of your section and the washing up area
- Working collaboratively with all team members, including front of house and the Head Chef
- Assist with the management of food hygiene practices to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness are always maintained in the kitchens, storage areas and walk-in fridges
- Responsible for assisting with food preparation
- Assisting with the stock rotation & management
- Be a brand ambassador for the estate

- Passion for food and provenance
This is a part-time, permanent contract. Working hours will include some weekends and some evenings.
