Summary
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Peacemills Care Home for weekend work. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, contributing significantly to their overall health and happiness.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Follow food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards.
- Support with serving meals to residents in a timely manner.
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Participate in menu planning and food sourcing as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create a positive dining experience.
- Attend training sessions to enhance culinary skills.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
