We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
- Support cooking staff by preparing food items according to recipes and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, pots & pans.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Help with catering events by setting up food stations and serving meals as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
