We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or cook.
- Support food preparation activities, ensuring that all items are ready for cooking and service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen, adhering to all health regulations.
- Help with catering events by preparing and packing food items as required.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the head chef.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is highly valued.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and catering.

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
