Key Account Executive (KAE)
This is a great entry level role for a passionate, driven and determined individual to move into a career with a consumer-driven national accounts team. Reporting to the National Account Manager, you will take overall responsibility for supporting the National Account Managers (NAM) across a range of accounts from large well-known retailers to the smaller independents. The role will initially support all of our accounts, ensuring smooth operations and coordination within the department. This is an amazing role to build a career with National accounts. The team is highly experienced and you will be learning from experts in the field on a daily basis.
Day to day –
This is a fast-paced environment, and the demand for data, accurate information, and cross-collaboration internally & externally is constant, keeping the sales team ahead of the curve and performing to exceed targets. No day is the same and the KAE is the driving force behind the team carrying out the following tasks -
· Supplying and facilitating the following: new line forms, logistical data, technical and regulatory data.
· Supporting the National Accounts team to deliver best practice stock / sales forecasting & service / availability management. This requires an eye for detail, an obsession for EPOS and the tenacity to chase down internal and external stakeholders.
· Customer contact - effectively deal with all types of enquiries from customers, which will involve identifying and interpreting their needs and providing a professional and efficient service, consistently going above and beyond expectation.
· Project management – work closely with Account Management team and cross functionally to manage and support critical account timings and key internal project timings.
· Presentation support - Including key account materials and analysis, manipulation and graphic representation of market data.
· Keeping up-to-date with marketplace activity, category pricing, market trends, price checks and New Product Design, recording information and informing account managers.
Key competencies / skills
- Sales Support / Detail-focused - Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, including managing sales orders, processing invoices, and preparing sales reports.
- Order Management - Input and track customer orders in the CRM system ensuring all details are correct and deadlines are met.
- Customer Service / personable relationship builder - Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely responses. Using your personality to build upon relationships.
- Data Entry & Record Maintenance / Accuracy: Maintain accurate records of customer details, sales figures, and correspondence within the CRM system. Critically analyse data to spot peaks / trends & patterns.
- Coordination: Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, S&Ops and Marketing) to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to the sales team and management.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the company’s product offerings to assist with customer queries and provide accurate information.
- Sales Documentation: Prepare sales proposals, contracts, and presentations for the sales team.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
