Justice Employability Advisor: Description
We are recruiting for our brand new Community Justice programme within West Dunbartonshire providing a specialist employability and skills service for people who are Justice impacted within West Dunbartonshire. We provide a wide range of support to anyone over the age of 16 to identify and remove barriers that are preventing them moving forward towards a positive destination such as gaining employment, engaging in education, training or volunteering. The Programme brings together a wider support network of Specialist organisations to support our participants and provide help with things like Mental Health, Debt, Housing, Parenting, Convictions, Disabilities and Benefits etc.
This role in particular will focus on end-to-end support to people over the age of 16 + involved with the Community Justice system.
Main Duties
- Manage a caseload of participants ensuring appropriate and effective high-level activity is undertaken to progress to a positive destination through a robust action plan towards employment, education or training.
- Address barriers to employment, utilising the established relationships with stakeholders within West Dunbartonshire and develop new relationships to continue to grow the support offer.
- Observe and adhere to our customer service standards to ensure all participants are provided with a high standard of service that maximises their chances of securing sustainable employment, training or education.
- Maintain Customer CRM to a required quality standard to ensure the participants journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards.
· Develop and maintain relationships within a network of key stakeholders including employers, social workers, jobcentre staff and funding providers.
· Working to meet Key Performance Indicators.
· Signpost to specialist organisations to address any specific needs identified.
· Provide advice, guidance and support for participants during their initial weeks of employment, supporting their transition from welfare to employment to maximise the potential for customers to sustain employment.
· Adhering to all contractual compliance and with our company policies (including Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Data Security) so participants and colleagues are always protected.
· Will be based in our Clydebank Office with travel across the community required.
Knowledge/Experience
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system is essential.
- Experience of working in a Customer Focussed or Employability role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience in all Microsoft packages with a methodical & organised approach to working.
- The ability to build rapport and maintain relationships using strong negotiation skills.
- Supporting participants through confidence building and barrier removal in to employment, education or training.
- Driving license & access to a car for business use is essential.

£23,500 Per Annum
Hours
9am – 5pm Monday - Friday (Hybrid working between home and office)
