Overview
We are seeking a skilled kit erect Joiner to join our team, responsible for a variety of construction and woodworking tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with proficiency in using both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all projects.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks
- Perform joinery work, including cutting, shaping, and joining materials
- Assist with roofing projects as needed, ensuring structural integrity
- Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required on-site
- Carry out construction painting to finish projects to a high standard
- Support plumbing and masonry tasks when necessary
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including those with electrical experience, to complete multi-faceted projects
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry and joinery is essential
- Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of roofing practices is advantageous
- Experience in construction painting is desirable
- Basic plumbing skills would be beneficial
- Familiarity with masonry techniques is a plus
- Electrical experience is an asset but not mandatory
