Job description
The mission will consist of supporting all studies of mechanical studies.
The Mechanical Engineer is in charge of:
· Making clarifications of the deliverables necessary for the construction with the help of the Back Office who carried out the studies (EPR E, EDVANCE, CNEPE),
· Gathering input data, analysing / updating hypothesis notes and loading description reports
o Performing mechanical stresses analyses
o Equipment anchorages capability
o Possibly valves calculations
o Proposing appropriate and proportionate modifications in case the sizing criteria are not met
· Closing of open points and comments,
· Assessing and answering technical issues arising during manufacturing, construction works, erection,
· Assessing and integrating modification coming from the stakeholders after packages handedover to JDO,
· Doing some hand calculations and running anchorages macros to assess the feasibility of modification,
· Checking calculation notes and guide drawings subcontracted to external companies,
· Proposing improvements for the studies not finalized,
· Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the design,
· Working with CAD designers/detailers in the preparation of the design drawings,
· Leading technical meetings with suppliers or any other necessary support entities,
· Interfacing with several stakeholder
In a near future, the Mechanical Engineer could also be in charge of coordinating the activities related to valves within the JDO and will be responsible to interface with all the stakeholders. EDVANCE and
EDVANCE/JDO are NNB’s consultant on HPC; NNB being the Client
Profile
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
· Science, mechanical engineering degree
· 0 to 10 years of experience in specification, design, procurement and installation of electrical components.
· Excellent Interpersonal skills, conscientiousness, organisation, writing ability.
· English fluent. Good organizational, writing and oral expression skills in English are essential for the realization of the activities of document production, steering and interfaces with the various correspondents.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
· Knowledge of RCC-E code
· French speaker is a bonus
· Field experience
· Knowledge of 2D and 3D design software
· Experience working in a multicultural environment
· Knowledge of the HPC project or previous EPR and associated studies/doctrine
· Experience in the management of transverse technical and contractual topics
· Ability to prioritise, to manage numerous interfaces, to question and understand the
· imperatives of other downstream disciplines. Ability to meet commitments and deadlines.

The engineer should possess good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. The engineer have the ability to take a strategic view, manage a multiplicity of interfaces, summarise, be proactive, and meet commitments and deadlines. The engineer will be required to write clearly-expressed and well-presented technical documents and apply logical thinking.
