English-Russian Vishenka Nursery is an independent nursery located in the heart of North Kensington, catering to bilingual children aged 1.5–4 years. The nursery has been operating since 2016 and is Ofsted registered, achieving a ‘Good’ rating in the recent 2025 inspection.
The Position
As part of our commitment to bilingual education, we are expanding our curriculum by introducing Italian and Portuguese languages. We are looking for a qualified Italian/Portuguese-speaking Early Years/Nursery Practitioner to join us at Vishenka Nursery on a part-time basis. This is a term-time position. The pay range depends on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- High education
- NVQ Level 1-3 Early Years and Childcare
- Knowledge of the Foundation Stage
- Be Italian/Portuguese speaker and have a good command of English
- Have a valid DBS (update service) or willing to complete one
- Previous experience in bilingual nurseries
- Work permit
- Live locally or within an easy travelling distance of W10
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support for children's development.
- Ensure child safety and report any concerns immediately.
- Assist with tasks delegated by the manager.
- Participate in training, meetings, and nursery events as needed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
- Engage with parents/carers to foster trust and communication.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain reliability and punctuality to uphold staffing ratios.
