As Internal Communications Manager for Gymshark you will bring our business strategic goals and milestones to life by creating and delivering engaging, creative and targeted content to support the business in attracting, developing and retaining world class talent.
Working in partnership with cross-functional teams at all levels across the business you will manage the communication of people initiatives and change projects across all of our functions, channels and geographies.
As a strong story teller, skilled writer and proactive planner you will have experience of working on large scale cross functional/ transformational initiatives within corporate communication or values driven businesses.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Work in partnership with the Director of Organisational Effectiveness to develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the business strategy, and the 3Y People strategy.
- Partner with DDT, ExCo, Directors and the People Leadership team to create a calendar of communication in line with annual and monthly communication moments and the cascade of business communication messages.
- Create engaging content for internal channels and identifying appropriate use of communication across email, newsletters, presentations, video, teams and in person moments. Identify how messages can be translated and communicated across business locations and channels.
- Support change management and organisational initiatives with clear and consistent messaging in line with the Gymshark tone of voice.
- Plan and coordinate monthly comms and Director communication briefings; as well as providing guidance to directors on what information can be cascaded across the company. Provide guidance to leadership on communication differences for our audiences in local offices, stores and new channels and geographies as we grow.
- Ensure a consistent tone of voice and brand alignment across all internal messaging. Working closely with the Brand team to define and ensure relevant adjustments are made for an internal audience.
- Work in partnership with the People leadership team to conduct the annual culture survey and regular pulse surveys to listen to our employees experiences, communicating and actioning change in partnership with the business.
- Work in close partnership with office experience / facilities team to align and enhance the employee experience through clear, timely, and engaging communications.
- Define & monitor internal comms KPI’s/ engagement metrics and gather employee feedback to continuously improve internal communication strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Experience of building an internal communications function in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge and understanding of employee engagement and change communications.
- Proven & extensive experience in internal communication, across annual internal communication calendars, change projects and large scale cross functional/ transformational initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management with a proven ability to advise and influence senior leadership on communication strategies and the ability to work effectively with different internal and external stakeholders, the people team and employees.
- Ability to understand complex issues and storytell practical and creative solutions that will engage employees.
- Extensive knowledge of internal communications channels, how to use effectively, measure and improve.
- Extremely strong, creative writing, editing and proofreading skills that work across all internal communication channels – from short-form to full script writing.
- The ability to work with technical experts and translate complex information into engagement content.
- Experience of using intranets, Microsoft Office & 365 tools.
- The ability to source and shape impactful stories from across the organisation and tell them to wider internal audiences. Strong creative ability to devise and deliver communication strategies, plans and activities.
- Strong ability to organise complex content and project management communication initiatives.
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure, with information sharing from multiple stakeholders, working to tight deadlines
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
