Job Title: EMI Marketing Amplify U – Intern

Salary & Benefits: This is a paid internship opportunity. Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, 12-month paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.
The Role
As an Amplify U Intern, you’ll contribute to live business initiatives, learn directly from industry professionals and grow through tailored development. You’ll be immersed in the day-to-day of your department, gaining valuable skills and making a tangible impact.
EMI Records is one of the most culturally significant labels in popular music. With an illustrious history and a diverse and ground-breaking roster of acts, the label has been at the forefront of every seminal musical movement. EMI is the UK home of the world’s biggest and most innovative artists including Elton John, Paul McCartney, Queen, Metallica, Chemical Brothers, Loyle Carner, Jessie Ware, Bastille and SG Lewis. EMI’s international roster includes Rihanna, Justin Bieber, The Killers, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swift. In 2024 the label began an exciting new chapter as part of Island EMI, with a raft of new signings paving the way for a new generation of cultural trailblazers including Sebastian Schub, Elliot James Reay, Mazza, Picture Parlour, Girls Don’t Sync and more.
No day is the same within the busy frontline marketing team at EMI. As Marketing Intern, you will be an integral part of the wider team, assisting across artist projects as well as operations at the label. This can range from helping arrange artist planning meetings, scheduling new releases, preparing timelines, creative brainstorms, booking travel and processing invoices.
The role suits someone who can manage a broad-ranging work load and time management.
What you’ll learn:
- Supporting your department’s projects and day-to-day operations
- Conducting research, preparing documentation and assisting with admin tasks
- Attending team meetings, training sessions and learning days
- Contributing ideas and sharing your perspective as part of a collaborative team
- Participating in cross-functional projects, intern network activities and final presentations
