As a Senior Planner, you’ll play a central role in developing and managing integrated schedules, identifying key risks, and driving performance insights that enable successful project delivery.
About the Roles by Location:
Aberdeen – Energy Transition (Oil & Gas to New Energies)
Support the planning and scheduling of large-scale brownfield modification and decommissioning programmes as part of a major energy transition portfolio. Work closely with engineering and offshore delivery teams to integrate schedule data and support decarbonisation initiatives in the North Sea.
Stockton-on-Tees – National Net Zero Infrastructure
Be part of a multi-billion-pound net zero programme, delivering essential new build infrastructure focused on hydrogen, carbon capture, and future fuels. You’ll lead planning activities on highly regulated, multidisciplinary projects that are pivotal to the UK’s low-carbon strategy.
Glasgow – Renewable Energy & Grid Modernisation
Contribute to large-scale clean energy developments and the modernisation of energy transmission and distribution networks. You’ll support the delivery of renewable generation, HV substation works, and grid reinforcements, working closely with construction and engineering teams.
Due to increasing demand within our client’s Energy and Natural Resources division, we are seeking Intermediate & Senior Planners to support critical energy transition programmes across the UK. You’ll join a collaborative and high-performing team delivering complex, high-value infrastructure and energy projects in Aberdeen, Glasgow, or Stockton-on-Tees.
What You’ll Do:Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
Establish baselines, WBS, and planning frameworks across major programmes
Conduct critical path and schedule risk analysis; model 'what-if' scenarios
Track progress and performance using Excel , Power BI , and earned value metrics
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy
Present reports, S-curves, and dashboards to support informed decision-making
Lead planning assurance and governance aligned with NEC/FIDIC contracts
Mentor junior planners and support capability development within the team
Provide planning expertise to integrated project controls environments
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in planning major energy, nuclear or utilities projects
Proficiency with Primavera P6 , MS Project , Excel , and performance dashboards
Knowledge of EVM , critical path method (CPM), and risk-based planning techniques
Familiarity with contract frameworks such as NEC
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
Experience in regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, utilities) is advantageous
Eligible to work in the UK and travel to client sites as needed
