Medilink Midlands Ltd is seeking to recruit an experienced Innovation Adviser to join the current highly skilled team based across the East and West Midlands.
Medilink Midlands is a membership organisation with over 20 years’ experience as the region’s specialist, not-for-profit provider of life sciences innovation and business support leading the way as the Voice of Industry and facilitating cluster development and ecosystems to help businesses establish, develop and grow. The Midlands is a world class region for the life science sector home to the largest number of MedTech businesses in the UK with a £1.6b annual regional contribution.
It is an exciting time to be working with and supporting such an impactful sector and we are delighted to be recruiting an Innovation Adviser to join our Medilink team. You will work within a supportive environment, whilst critically making a difference to the SME’s we support to grow and develop.
We are looking for essential skills and dynamic individuals who can demonstrate the following:
- 3-5 years experience in a business advisory role delivering funded projects.
- Business support skills; helping organisations to develop and grow specifically focusing on their innovation and business development and commercialisation, IP, investment readiness and access to finance, scientific, clinical, technical &/or product development and knowledge exchange / transfer.
- A background and experience of working in life science, health or MedTech. Providing demonstrable experience in order to support industry, our clients and build and manage relationships with our partners and stakeholders within the Midlands life science ecosystem.
- Highly developed communication skills.
- Account management of a client portfolio.
- Delivery of multiple projects across funded and commercial platforms
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of the local and national business supports landscape.
- Strength in managing relationships with the businesses we support; providing an impartial, critical edge to facilitate growth and accelerate their innovation development.
- The ability to maintain and develop sector knowledge; regulatory, NHS, legislation etc.
- Versatility on travel across the whole Midlands region
- A collaborative approach to working within the Medilink team and with the wider external support network.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to Medilink core values
- Background with working within a Membership Organisation
- Proven versatility to excel across multiple functions across an organisation
