We have a new and exciting opportunity within Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) as an Information Support Officer (Data Standards). This role would suit an individual who has extensive administrative experience gained in a busy team environment.

NHS Wales relies on high quality data and information to deliver safe and efficient patient care, to effectively plan new healthcare services, manage the performance of Welsh NHS Local Health Boards and Trusts and understand the cost of patient care delivered across Wales . DHCW plays a central role in the design, development and implementation of national information standards to ensure the collection and reporting of high-quality information in support of ongoing improvements in patient care in Wales.

The Information Support Officer will provide administrative support to the DHCW Information Standards Team and secretariat support for bodies overseeing the Information Standards Assurance Process. They will monitor requests sent centrally to DHCW Data Standards, responding effectively and sharing with appropriate team members where required .

This position would suit a person with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills who has experience in liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, preferably within the NHS. They should have extensive experience of meeting facilitation.

Organise and attend meetings to provide secretariat for bodies overseeing the Information Standards Assurance Process.

Monitor the Data Standards central mailbox throughout the working day, dealing with emails appropriately and efficiently.

Work with colleagues to identify content for the next release of the NHS Wales Data Dictionary and update the dictionary on a quarterly basis.

Monitor MS Teams and other areas of collaborative working, ensuring that content is topical.

Organise and attend meetings with colleagues to plan agenda and content for the Information Standards Assurance Process.

Managing the Data Standards central mailbox, ensuring requests and information are dealt with in a timely manner

Be responsible for the circulation and publication of relevant output from the Information Standards Assurance Process , including updates to the NHS Wales Data Dictionary .

Manage the Data Standards web pages, ensuring they are of an appropriate professional standard.

Manage the Information Standards intra- and internet portals.
