Role Summary
As an Indirect Tax Senior Manager, you will be a key member of our global tax team, responsible for shaping and executing Payoneer’s indirect tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll lead VAT/GST compliance efforts, build scalable processes, and provide technical guidance on complex tax matters.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the development and implementation of global indirect tax strategies across all business units and geographic regions

Provide technical leadership, training and guidance on complex indirect tax matters to stakeholders throughout the organization

Collaborate closely with various departments, including but not limited to Legal, Procurement, Finance, Data, and Product, to ensure VAT/GST requirements are incorporated into business processes and systems

Review and approve customer and vendor contract language to ensure accuracy and compliance with indirect taxation

Develop and implement monitoring processes to track global indirect tax compliance status and identify potential risks

Assist controllers around the globe with local VAT/GST returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission across multiple jurisdictions

Oversee indirect tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities

Monitor and analyze tax legislation developments affecting the Company’s VAT/GST tax profile

Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants, coordinating their work and implementing their recommendations

Identify, research, and document tax positions
Who You Are:

8+ years of relevant indirect tax experience, including at least 4 years in a public company or public accounting/“Big 4” environment

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Demonstrated experience building or transforming indirect tax functions and processes

Ability to understand the business environment and apply the relevant tax principles, using practical methods to support the business owners’ needs and be able to clearly articulate those methods to relevant stakeholders

Creative thinking and out of the box solutions for complicated processes

Excellent analytical and technical tax skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to efficiently collaborate with international leadership and process owners, and manage relationships with external advisors
