We have an exciting opportunity to join an established global tyre wholesaler with over 30 years of experience who import and export tyres world-wide based in Telford. This is an excellent development opportunity for a Chinese mandarin speaking import specialist to join TIA Group.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and hard-working Import operator with mandarin speaking skills for our busy Import and Export Office. Experience of working in a similar environment is essential alongside finance background would be advantageous. Further training will be given to the correct candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Import Operator in a wholesale company based in Telford. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a minimum of two years experience to contribute to their busy import department.
To provide efficient delivery logistics through data management. You will data entry into the SAP computer system, together with communication and email liaison with our suppliers in China and arranging for delivery of shipping containers into our warehouse and other parts of the UK/ Globally.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in mandarin is needed. Preferably native speaking.
- Proficiency in English is needed.
- A minimum of two years of experience in import/export is required.
- Must have excellent Customer / Supplier communication skills in both Mandarin/English speaking
- Leadership skills are also beneficial.
- Dedicated individual who takes responsibility for completing challenging tasks.
Responsibilities
- To deal with each step of the shipping process
- Track shipments and communicate with suppliers in China in mandarin
- Co-ordinate shipping with customs agents for clearance on oversea containers
- Responsible for the movement of goods from another country, ensuring transit and delivery is made on time
- Responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork
- Manage deadlines and sometimes difficult situations
- Managing files from start to finish.
- Handling sales and purchase transactions.
- Preparing quotes for UK clients on shipments.
- Providing quotes and managing shipments for multiple clients.
- Overseeing and maintaining key accounts.
- Generating invoices.
- Managing accounts for direct clients.
- Resolving customer queries and complaints promptly and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
China Supplier Role
- Liaise with Suppliers by telephone, email, face to face and build a link/ rapport to ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Learn the shipment of goods process from China and be a link between our transport agents
- Any other duties in regard with contact between us and our Chinese factory.
