This role reports into Manufacturing Manager.
Duties:
- Perform routine and scheduled cleaning of all production and packing areas including floors, walls and surfaces.
- Conduct cleaning in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and hygiene schedules.
- Apply appropriate cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
- Carry out deep cleans, including allergen cleans, high-care area cleans, and end-of-run or shutdown cleaning. Ensure all hygiene records are completed accurately and on time, including cleaning logs, chemical usage sheets, and equipment checklists.
- Report any maintenance or hygiene-related issues (e.g., damaged equipment, pest sightings, chemical leaks) immediately to the Process Lead or relevant authority.
- Carry out basic packing tasks such as assembling packaging, labelling, or loading products under supervision.
- Work flexibly across hygiene and packing duties in line with business priorities and shift requirements.
Abilities:
- Reliable, with good attention to detail
- Able to follow hygiene and cleaning instructions consistently
- Comfortable working in a production environment.
- Willing to work as part of a team and support other departments when needed
- A resilient and agile team player, able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and support where needed
