Here at Ripe Now we are as passionate about our people as we are about fresh produce! Due to continued company growth we are currently looking to recruit a Hygiene Operative for our busy Fresh Produce packing facility in Boston.
Job Description:
The hygiene operative will work closely with the Technical and production teams to enable a smooth flow of process, and working towards a common goal with key operative to produce a clean, sterilised production area and equipment.
This will include communicating across to the relevant departments, and where necessary the wider business as a whole. The operative will also be expected to deal with general enquiries promptly and efficiently.
Duties:
- To carry out day to day hygiene activities in line with daily requirements and developed cleaning schedules, ensuring operational integrity.
- Review stock levels of cleaning equipment and aids, escalating to the appropriate person
- Ensure that all chemicals are stored and used correctly
- When required, to strip down machinery, cleaning machinery and machine heads.
- Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department.
- Help identify and highlight any opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality, performance in support of the overall common goal
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork and hygiene systems are completed and maintained accurately
- To undertake training as requested to improve man-management personal knowledge and work standards
- To follow agreed procedures for safe working practices in relation to other personnel products, processes or raw materials
- Able to understand and adopt good cleaning practices within the food industry
