We are looking to appoint a Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water team within our Civil Engineering discipline. This role is national and available at any of major offices in the UK which includes Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, Derby, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and London.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Support the Hydraulic Modelling Team in the delivery of Wastewater Frameworks and associated projects, as well as assisting the wider Civil Water discipline with hydraulic support to capital projects.
- Provide supervision and technical assistance to team members within your expertise.
- Help develop and uphold agreed modelling standards for the Hydraulic Modelling discipline.
- Undertake learning opportunities and maintain a log of CPD to build upon awareness and knowledge building towards achievement of attributes of professional membership.
- Utilise digital tools to support the team in meeting these standards effectively.
- Contribute to delivering a seamless support service aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, standardisation, and consistency across all deliverables.
- Running of model simulations and provision of model outputs for analysis, acts as key person in directing others in doing so.
- Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

About You
- Holds a relevant scientific degree with 4 –6 years of related experience.
- Be actively working towards completing the Competency Framework for CIWEM professional membership.
- Excel at multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be proficient in using spreadsheets, including advanced functions for data analysis, and support colleagues in this area.
- Confidently manage and operate data within a GIS environment independently and mentor others in its use.
- Take an active role in client-facing activities.
