As a HR Business Partner, you will collaborate with department and section managers to unlock their team member’s capability, and ensure a fulfilling, engaging and fair working environment.
You will successfully influence plans to continuously improve employee relations, talent management, recruitment and retention, and engagement, and run site wide HR projects with other members of the HR and L&D team, in topics such as health and wellbeing, reward and recognition, ED&I, etc.
A highly experienced HR professional, you will astutely and accurately manage varied ER cases and have an excellent knowledge and understanding of employment law have to support staff members with delivering ER case management and Industrial relations.
A Food/FMCG background would be highly advantageous, and the hours are generally 8am to 5pm, however, you will be required to flex this as required including completing at least 1 late or early shift per week (12pm to 9pm, or 3am to 12pm).
Key Accountabilities
· Partner with, and support dedicated departments.
· Analyse KPI data to identify hotspots and trends
· Provide advice on disciplinary, grievance and absence meetings, attending and taking notes as required, and support the other HRBPs in their areas as required.
· Work with our solicitors to ensure all complex ER cases are brought to a commercially viable conclusion in a timely manner.
· Coach key team members on how to complete HR policies, processes, and forms correctly with the relevant background legal context as required.
· Influence and inspire their teams to deliver excellent objective setting, feedback, support and stretch targets for all team members.
· Ensure all talent management, recruitment, reward and recognition, health and wellbeing, and ED&I site policies and principles are delivered within the departments.
· Able to proactively challenge managers to ensure consistent, fair, and commercially viable outcomes are achieved from site teams in all areas of people management.
· Advise management teams on elements of employment law including the Equality Act, etc.
· Any other task as reasonably requested by their line manager.
Person Specification:
· Demonstrative experience gained from working in HR which has included ER case management and industrial relations.
· CIPD qualified would be preferred.
· Experience of conducting recruitment, reward and recognition, health and wellbeing, or other similar initiatives.
· Experience of policy writing or rolling out procedural change would be advantageous.
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
· Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office (e-mail, Word, Excel, Access, Project, etc).
· Experience using PowerBi, Power Apps and SharePoint would be advantageous.
· Experience of using or a qualification in Insights, Myers Briggs, or similar would be advantageous.
· Experience of project management methodologies would be advantageous.
· Is a positive role model for others, with a genuine passion for HR.
· A strong team player who can motivate and influence others successfully.
· Takes a positive stance towards problem solving, working on own initiative to implement solutions.
· Able to work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
