Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join our team in Newbury. This role is vital in supporting our mission by ensuring our workforce is engaged and well-managed, contributing to our commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR support and guidance to management and staff.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings and candidate screenings.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and training programs.
- Support performance management processes and employee relations initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Collaborate with management on HR-related projects and initiatives.
- Carry out various administrative tasks.
- Support the TUPE processes for new and outgoing contracts.
- Carry out employment DBS checks for new and existing staff.
- Advise managers and participate in disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Qualifications and Experience
- CIPD qualified
- Proven experience in human resources or related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with employment legislation and best practices.
- Experience with database systems is a plus.
- A practical, flexible and 'hands-on' approach is key.
