About the role and about you

This is an exciting time to join the HR team at Historic Royal Palaces. We have just embarked on a period of transformation within our team following the launch of a new structure to improve our own ways of working, enhance the employee experience and to enable delivery of the organisational strategy.
The HR Advisor: Projects will support this transition by taking a lead coordination role and contributing to the delivery of a range of exciting and value-adding projects during this period.
Working with the HR Business Partner and wider management team, a key focus of the role will be to lead the coordination of a best in class and inclusive reward and recognition project.

The role will also play a vital part in supporting a wider HR Advisory team, ensuring the provision of high-quality generalist advice and support to managers and employees. In this role you will advise and support on a range of people matters, including recruitment and onboarding, performance and capability, sickness absence management, disciplinary and grievance issues, flexible working requests and training and development support.

You’ll be an experienced HR Advisor with a track record of being involved in the coordination of the delivery of impactful HR projects. Given the primary focus of the role, experience of working on reward and recognition projects is also desirable. You will need to be up to date with employment law and have solid experience of case management and policy application with the ability to balance best practice and risk with a pragmatic and flexible approach. You will be experienced in influencing and working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure support and solutions are aligned with organisational needs and culture. You will also be able to work at pace to get things done with accuracy and credibility.

Historic Royal Palaces is an equal opportunities employer and truly values a diverse workforce. Applications are welcome from candidates regardless of their background.

We are also committed to high quality Safeguarding practices and to ensure everyone is kept safe in our palaces. We have procedures in place to ensure this commitment is delivered and will deal firmly and swiftly with anyone representing our charity who does not meet our required standards
