Permanent Part-time Position – 27 hours per week
£35,482.49 per annum FTE which equates to £27,372.21 per annum for 27 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join CHS as a Housing Officer in our General Needs Housing Team, covering a patch of around 350 rented and shared ownership properties in Cambridgeshire.

We are a friendly and supportive team based at CHS’s offices in Histon. We work together to provide duty cover at the office on a rota basis, plus you can apply for hybrid working from home. You will be out and about on your patch regularly, visiting customers, conducting estate inspections and making sure our neighbourhoods are places where people are proud to live.
What you’ll do
In this highly responsible and varied role you will be at the heart of CHS activity. As part of our housing management team, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers. Dealing with all aspects of tenancy and estate management you will ensure that homes are let efficiently and fairly, work to maximise rental and service charge income, deal with cases of anti-social behaviour and support our customers to meet the terms of their tenancy agreement.
You will be able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision to ensure a customer focused service is provided. You will be able to involve customers, work in partnership with other agencies and improve service delivery to meet customers’ needs.

- Good knowledge of housing management, tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits, and collaborative multi-agency working
- Focussed on delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent time management and decision-making skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Competent in the use of MS Office packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Flexible and adaptable
- A full UK driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is essential, with business use insurance
