Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our family run company. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for plants with a strong understanding of horticultural practices.
Duties
- Oversee the propagation & growth of seasonal bedding plants, Perennials & Shrubs
- Use irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for all plants.
- Identify and address pest or disease issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the Nursery.
- Collaborate with team members whenever working on tasks.
Skills
- Proficient in growing techniques and practices.
- Strong knowledge of growing conditions for a variety of plants.
- Experience in irrigating systems and their management.
- Familiarity with displaying products aesthetically.
- Competent in the safe use of power tools and hand tools relevant to horticulture tasks.
- Excellent observational skills to assess plant health and environmental conditions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an outdoor setting.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about horticulture and eager to contribute positively to our evolving family run Nursery.
