An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our care at home team in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Localities.

We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of service users in the local communities, you will be a people person who is passionate about supporting our service users to maximise their independence, to remain living in their own homes. The Person

Caring, compassionate and motivated with good values and a genuine interest in providing quality care and support to service users.

Good communication skills.

Ability to build effective working relationships with service users and their families.

Ability to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.

Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and be able to put these into practice.

Hold or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration. Once qualification achieved it is the person’s responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council timeously.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the person’s responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.

If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile.
