- Inspecting roads and highways to identify safety issues and maintenance needs.
- Raising accurate works orders using computer systems.
- Carrying out minor manual repairs and responding to emergencies.
- Participating in a winter standby rota to monitor and respond to network hazards.
- Engaging with the public and stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner.
- Experience in highways or civil engineering works.
- Computer literacy – ability to use systems to log inspections and raise orders.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- A full UK driving licence – essential for this role.
