High Voltage Electrical Fitter
Location: Nationwide (Our office is based in Ystalyfera, Swansea, South Wales.

We’re a fast-growing, hands-on company delivering high voltage infrastructure projects across the UK and we’re looking for an experienced HV Electrical Fitter to join our close-knit and supportive team.

About the Role:
As a High Voltage Electrical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of HV equipment on Substations and Grid-connected sites, typically operating at voltages between LV and 400kV.
You’ll work on a variety of Projects, including Grid Connections, Battery Energy Storage Schemes, Solar Farm Developments, and Private Industrial HV Networks.
Duties will include: -
- Installing Switchgear, Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, and Electrical M&E Installations.
- Terminating and glanding of HV and LV Cables
- Performing Site Preparation, Earthing, and Bonding works
- Assisting with Testing and Commissioning alongside our SAPs and Commissioning Engineers
- Reading and interpreting Technical Drawings and Wiring Diagrams
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to relevant standards
Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation / Engineering
- ECS/CSCS/CCNSG/EUSR Card
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Manual Handling, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Working at Height (current or willing to obtain)
- MEWP/IPAF or PASMA certification (desirable)
- Confined Spaces Training (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
Required Experience & Expertise:
- 3+ Years’ experience in HV Electrical Fitting or similar role
- Comfortable working on LIVE Substations and HV Installations (LV to 400kV)
- Able to work with minimal supervision and to strict safety procedures
- Familiar with Cable Jointing, Glanding, Containment Systems, and Control Wiring (advantageous)
- Experience with DNO/IDNO/ICP and / or Private HV Installations
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
