Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our friendly teams in the North East working across two of our sites. The successful candidate will help maintain and refurbish our heavy plant to enable our Demolition works across the UK. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that components are accurately assembled and maintained, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, repair and maintenance of heavy plant
- Completion of Job Sheets and Company Documentation
- Liaising with the Commercial Vehicles office and Parts Department
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role is required.
- Have knowledge and experience of working on Heavy plant and machinery.
- Provide your own personal tools for duties
- Have the ability to mechanically diagnose faults
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid driving license.
What's on offer
- Initial salary will be dependent on experience
- Weekly Pay
- 40 hours basic plus overtime at an enhanced rate of pay
- Working hours are Mon-Fri (5 days a week) with occasional Saturdays as the job requires
- On the rare occasion that travel to a different site is required - additional payments to subsidise accommodation/driving if criteria is met
