As a Healthcare Support Worker on Ainslie ward you'll help patients during their stay by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that's as varied as it is rewarding. You will work effectively alongside Registered Nurses/Practitioners within the ward as required on a daily basis.
You will be supported with your development needs both from in house training and also external courses whilst having regular supervision and appraisals to ensure you are helped to reach your maximum potential.

Working Pattern:
Please note you will be required to work a combination of Long Days and Nights on a 11.5 shift including weekends and bank holidays.
This is a fixed term contract for 1 year.
Observing, monitoring and recording patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
Communicating with patients, relatives and carers, assisting with clinical duties.
Personal care including infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety.
Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, both within, and outside the department.
To take part as requested in ward/unit meetings, encouraging effective communications between other staff.
At the direction of the Registered Nurses /Senior Clinical Staff, participate fully in the delivery of planned care.

We are looking for applicants with proven experience in the care sector.
All new starters will be given the opportunity for specialist training and also support in completion of the care certificate.
