We are a beautiful and well established Nursing Care Home for the Elderly, located in the heart of Stoke Newington, run by well-known international catholic charity.
We are looking for Care Assistants to join our team so we can continue to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of our residents.
This positions are for full-time Healthcare Assistants working between 7:30am and 9:00pm on a rota basis.
We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and have the energy and the tenacity to work in a demanding and at the same time, rewarding environment.
This is a 34 bed for residents with various dependency needs and requirements. You will be working in a friendly, well equipped, well-staffed, modern home. This position is in a private setting looking after 4 elderly residents.
You will receive between £12.81-- £13.21 per hour, free parking, meals on duty and 28 days holiday per annum if working 5 days a week.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Ø Attending the physical needs of the Residents, involving dressing, washing and bathing, toileting and other personal needs, bedmaking, sluice duties, care of the linen and clothing.
Ø Serving meals and assisting with feeding as necessary, care approximating to home care of the sick and attending to the Social and emotional needs aimed at creating a supportive family atmosphere where Residents can achieve the maximum independence.
About you:
You must have at least two years’ experience in caring for elderly and an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred.
Fluent English, IT Skills and a positive, friendly attitude are a must.
You must have the right to work in the UK, a DBS check will be carried out and we will expect you to provide us with two references. An occupational health assessment will be required.
