We are looking for a new staff member to join the Healthcare Administration Team within our busy workforce at Litchdon Medical Centre.

The role is for a Healthcare Administration Support colleague, 16.5 hours per week with a working pattern of:-

Tuesdays 8.30am - 6.30pm (9 hours)

Thursdays 8.30am - 5.00pm (7.5 hours)

The role requires occasional overtime or adjustment to complete the service we provide during times of other staff absences or additional clinics.

Pay £11.44 - £11.70 per hour depending on experience.

Closing date Friday 28th June 2024.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our team at Litchdon. The successful applicant will need to have excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as being adaptable and able to manage a busy workload. Knowledge of working with computers is an essential part of the role, although training will be given on medical systems used within the Practice. JOB TITLE: Healthcare Administration Support

REPORTS TO: Healthcare Administration Manager/Deputy

RESPONSIBLE TO: The Practice Manager

HOURS: 16.5 hours per week

Job Summary:

The purpose of the role is to:

· Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

· Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way

· Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team

· Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

Person Specification

Essential - Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Strong IT skills and good knowledge/competent in using Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Teams. Experience of administrative duties or working in an administrative role. Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills (written and oral). Clear, polite telephone manner, Ability to prioritise and manage workload. Ability to work both as a team member and autonomously. Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to follow policy and procedure.

Desirable - Knowledge of Primary Care. Agenda and minute taking skills. The ability to work with a wide range of people from different professional backgrounds. Experience of using TTP SystmOne (electronic medical record system). Co-ordination and organisation across multiple teams.
